Jack Thune
President

Jack has been in the glass business since 1978 and has worked in all aspects from replacement & installations to sales & management.

In 1996, Jack joined the largest mirror & shower door supplier in the Chicagoland area as Director of Sales. Jack's success led him to be selected as General Manager of the Wauconda Division in 2000. His duties included sales, managing the work-force, purchasing, job-planning & scheduling as well as customer relations. In 2007, Jack was promoted to V.P. of Operations to oversee both the Wauconda & Bensonville locations.

Now, as President of Glass Essentials, Inc., Jack brings his knowledge & expertise to a new phase of his career, partnering up with Scott Lappen to bring a combined total of more than 55 years experience to serve their customers.

Scott has been in the glass business since 1987, and has mastered all aspects of glass design, fabrication and installation portions of the industry. He started his own company in 1997, and decided to partner up with Jack in 2009 to form Glass Essentials, Inc.

Scott is also knowledgeable in all aspects of the construction industry, including custom carpentry, woodworking,  electrical . He is a highly motivated individual, is a great problem solver, and is a perfectionist when it comes to installation processes.

   Jack and Scott have worked together in various aspects of the glass business for the last 13 years and have developed an excellent working relationship together.
